KNOWSLEY SAFARI PARK
AQS Undertook a Fantastic Wildlife Project recently for Knowsley Safari Park. The project was to design and build an outdoor swimming pool for Sea Lions complete with a beach area, underwater rocks, rock facias and a waterfall.
The area for the new build was mainly waste land outside the exisisting indoor pool and presented many challenges including re-routing underground pool drainage, underground balanced tank, constructing a viewing platform, an underwater viewing panel, safety fencing to the perimeter, constructing a new plant room and fish stores and an easy access route for the disabled.
A new state of the art filtration system with fully automated chemical control and UV disenfection system was installed to keep the swimming pool clear all year round.
The project was completed on time and on budget.
